Quality & Technology
Engineering background for PROTON display and battery product lines.
Display Technology
Display Technology
LTPO versus LTPS
LTPO backplanes support adaptive refresh rates, allowing the panel to move between low and high refresh rates. LTPS backplanes drive a fixed high refresh rate and are commonly used where a constant 120Hz presentation is required.
OLED versus LCD
OLED panels emit light from each pixel, giving per-pixel contrast. LCD panels rely on a backlight. Both require the correct driver and frame configuration for a specific device.
Refresh Rate Differences
PROTON display tiers are published at 1–120Hz, 120Hz, 90/120Hz and 60Hz according to the approved product data.
Touch Functionality and Compatibility
Touch behaviour depends on the digitizer assembly and the device mainboard revision, which is why compatibility records are maintained per SKU.
Battery Technology
Battery Technology
Battery chemistry fundamentals
Lithium-ion and lithium-polymer cells store energy in a sealed cell stack. Capacity, nominal voltage and protection circuitry define how a replacement battery behaves in service.
Charge and discharge considerations
Stable charge and discharge behaviour protects cell life. Fast-charging behaviour is only claimed where the model supports it.
Protection circuitry
A protection board can cover overcharge, overdischarge, overcurrent, short-circuit and temperature events. Protections confirmed per SKU are listed on the product page.
Temperature management
Heat accelerates cell degradation, which is why heat resistance and temperature monitoring are treated as product features rather than marketing claims.
Battery swelling risks and design considerations
Swelling is associated with gas generation inside a degraded cell. Cell selection, sealing quality and protection design reduce the risk during normal service.
Proper installation and usage
Handling guidance is published per product where available, including storage, inspection before fitting and disposal practice.
Quality Assurance
